AEG has been sending students abroad for 3-month apprenticeship mobilities in European companies for over 20 years now. More than 150 of our students have benefited from ERASMUS+ grants both through consortia (Confebask / Aice) and our own mobility projects.
Destinations have included capital cities and other locations in : Ireland, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Malta, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, The United Kingdom, Denmark.
This unique experience allows Vocational Education and Training (VET) students to gain insight into different work cultures and expand their own personal growth. Also, practice of foreign languages is paramount and the gaining of soft skills in many different aspects of social adult life.
The overwhelming students opinion upon return is that of an extremely valuable experience, which has helped many of them either to remain and follow a professional career path in the original countries of destination or either travel further, even to other continents!
